After more than a year and 25,000 miles behind the wheel, we bid farewell to our Acura MDX. The luxury SUV remained a favorite among the Robb Report staff, who often planned months in advance in order to secure the vehicle for a weekend trip. Its utility, maneuverability, and absolute versatility were consistently praised by the entire editorial team.

20,200—"Despite its size, the MDX is easy for me to handle," writes editorial researcher Hayley Lerch, who owns a compact two-door. "The car does everything well, and I imagine it was built with a family in mind. But as a young, single professional, I also don’t feel out of place behind the wheel."

22,375—"With its 300 hp V-6 engine, the Acura has plenty of power at any speed," says editorial assistant Oliver Slosser. "It handles very well through the canyons of Malibu and provides a serene ride inside the cabin on the congested streets of Los Angeles."

24,780—"The black leather seats are beautiful and soft," notes The Robb Report Collection editor Erika Heet. Apparently, birds find the MDX just as pleasing as our staff does; one even found its way into the cabin after Heet parked outside her Topanga Canyon home and neglected to raise the driver’s-side window. She adds, "The interior is easy to clean and maintain."
