For years people have had misconceptions about window tinting for their homes. The only window film they see is the dark black tint on limousines or the often bubbled or wrinkled tint on cars. The thought of installing this tint on their homes, needless to say, is less than attractive. What most people don't realize is that window tints for homes are completely different from those used in cars. Technological breakthroughs have developed a whole new generation of window films sold for homes that are clear and not tinted at all. Because clear films are virtually undetectable and allow visible light in, clients wonder how they block out anything. The answer lies in the fact that these new films were developed using technology similar to that found in sunscreen and plastic eyeglass manufacturing as well as in the aerospace industry. Most of the new films no longer use dyes or silver, eliminating the purple or aluminum foil looks.
