The all-new Chevrolet Camaro made its theatrical debut as a likable mutating machine in 2007’s summer blockbuster Transformers. This summer the car finally moves from the picture show to the showroom, as a 2010 model. With its all-aluminum 426 hp 6.2-liter V-8 engine, the top-of-the-line Camaro SS ($34,225) flexes the model line’s biggest muscle and shows it off with a revised front fascia and rear spoiler, and bigger tires and dual exhausts. More impressive—and more important—are its performance figures: A trip to 60 mph takes a mere 4.7 seconds, the car does the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph. Transformers fans should order the car in Rally Yellow with the optional black Rally Stripe Package, for their very own Bumblebee.
