Ouray County, Colorado
The 259-acre Little Papoose Ranch offers dramatic views of the 14,000-foot Mount Sneffels, and it has a main residence that was featured in Architectural Digest. Cherry County, Nebraska
Heartland Scenic River Ranch draws its name from the Niobrara National Scenic River, which runs along the property’s border for more than three-quarters of a mile. The ranch consists of two properties, with two different owners, being sold together as a 985-acre parcel that includes three trout ponds. Corcovado, Argentina
Estancia El Palenque is located seven miles from the small town of Corcovado and 60 miles from the city of Esquel, which has a commercial jet airport. The ranch, which encompasses 12,400 acres, sits at the foot of the Andes. The property originally was part of the Estancia Pampa, and it is believed that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, who worked on the Estancia Pampa at the turn of the last century, built a cabin that remains intact on the property. $11.9 million. Jefferson County, Montana
Journey’s End Ranch, in western Montana’s Gallatin Valley, consists of 4,520 deeded acres plus another 440 acres of land leased from the Bureau of Land Management and the state of Montana. The property has a four-bedroom owner’s residence, and it has direct access to Interstate 90.Water is plentiful, with shallow wells, artesian springs, creeks, wetlands, and a trout-inhabited pond that covers about two acres. Little Jennie Ranch, a 3,000-acre property, is located a short drive south of Jackson Hole, in the foothills of the Gros Ventre mountain range. It is bordered by mountains and the Teton National Forest. The property has miles of trout-fishing streams and vast, rolling meadows dotted with aspen and fir stands. Little Jennie also has valuable water rights and grazing allotments that have enabled it to operate as a cattle ranch since the 1950s. San Diego County, California
The Bonsall Farm, a 190-acre property, is located halfway between the towns of Carlsbad and Fallbrook in Southern California. It is a short drive from San Diego and only a couple of hours from Los Angeles. The owner’s residence has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and overlooks alfalfa fields and a horse paddock, with views beyond to a valley and mountain ridges. The grounds include a swimming pool, an indoor tennis court, ponds, gardens, lawns, and citrus and avocado groves. Kremmling, Colorado
Gould Ranch and Sheep Creek Ranch together cover nearly 3,500 acres, bordered by national forest and Bureau of Land Management property. The ranches are available for purchase individually or as a single property including Sheep Creek, several ponds, a waterfall, meadows, and aspen groves. The owner’s residence is a luxury log home. San Miguel County, New Mexico
The Bell Ranch encompasses more than 450 square miles in northeast New Mexico, about 100 miles from Las Vegas and 130 miles from both Albuquerque, N.M., and Amarillo, Texas. The property includes an 8,200-foot-long lighted airstrip. The landscape features grasslands, mesas, canyons, buttes, 13 miles of the Canadian River, 18 miles of shoreline on Conchas Lake, and Bell Mountain. The land sustains nearly 5,000 head of cattle and 150 ranch-bred horses, as well as antelope, mule and white-tailed deer, turkeys, blue quail, doves, waterfowl, and other wildlife.

Santa Barbara, California
Rancho Dos Pueblos, a 2,175-acre property bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the south and Los Padres National Forest to the north, is available for purchase for the first time in more than 30 years. The ranch is located 16 miles west of Santa Barbara. It stretches from the Santa Ynez Mountains across Highway 101 to a sandy beach. Dos Pueblos Creek runs through the property, flowing down from the hills, through stands of oaks and meadows, to the shore.

The property’s main residence is the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom Casa Grande. The house, a circa 1920 two-story Mediterranean structure with a tile roof, is located at the north end of a quarter-mile-long lawn that stretches to the beach. The lawn is lined with 50-foot fig trees. Each of the house’s five bedrooms (all are located on the second floor) has its own bathroom and a view of the surrounding countryside. The ranch is bordered in part by Lake Hattie. The development’s enhancements include gravel roads throughout the property, which allow for travel in all weather conditions. Lone Pine, California
Lubken Ranch, a 759-acre property at the foot of Mount Whitney, is on the market for the first time in 50 years. Lubken is a working cattle ranch—with water rights that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power never managed to acquire—surrounded by land belonging to the Bureau of Land Management and LADWP. The ranch is a three-hour drive north of Los Angeles and five minutes from an airport with a 4,000-foot-long runway. The main residence is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom ranch house. $7.45 million.
