Colnago CF2 for Ferrari
Ernesto Colnago rode to his first victory in 1947, and since then his bicycles have been ridden by professionals and world-class amateurs to more victories than any other bicycle. Colnago embodies the pinnacle of Italian high-performance design and manufacturing, and that is why the greatest names in cycling history have chosen these two-wheeled dreams to whisk them to the top of the podium. The CF2 ($8,500) is the follow-up to last year’s highly sought-after CF1, Colnago’s debut collaboration with the Ferrari team.

The stunning full-suspension CF2 was easily the most appealing bicycle at the Milan Cycle Show. The front triangle is made of monocoque carbon fiber, and the Ferrari red paint with Baracca’s prancing horse fades to a flawless clear coat over raw carbon fiber. Front and rear suspensions get external damping adjustments and an “on-the-fly lockout” for climbing. The 16-spoke all-black Shimano wheels with titanium axles, hydraulic disc brakes, and Michelin Competition rubber are ready to roll over any terrain. Only 150 CF2s have been allotted for the U.S. market, and each bicycle is custom-fitted to the customer’s physique and specifications.

Colnago CF3 for Ferrari
Ferrari CEO Luca Cordero di Montezemolo describes the CF3 as “a union in the name of passion, sport, and style.” Indeed, the partnership between Colnago and Ferrari is based on a shared commitment to performance at the highest level. Colnago prides itself on the fact that it has only one production line; the bicycles acquired by weekend enthusiasts travel down the same line as the cycles ridden by the most elite professionals. Every bike is handcrafted with equal care.

The CF3’s frame is pure fluidity, a carbon fiber monocoque body (manufactured in the same factory that produces the carbon components for Ferrari’s Formula-1) with a flash of the characteristic Ferrari yellow. The fork is also crafted from a single piece of carbon, offering sure handling in any weather and on any road. In fact, carbon is everywhere: in the wheels, handlebars, brake levers, seat post, bottle cage, front derailleur, and of course, the gorgeous crank set. Like every precious object, the CF3 ($8,500) is available in very limited quantities. As with the CF2, each CF3 is custom-tailored to each client’s physique and specifications.
