On the Market: St. Regis Temenos Residences, Anguilla

LOCATION: Fronting the Caribbean Sea and neighboring St. Maarten on a one-mile expanse of sandy beach at Anguilla’s Merrywing Bay.

FOR SALE: When the 286-acre residential resort opens next year, it will feature 115 residences, including oceanfront condo residences, three- to four-bedroom freestanding villas, and four- to five-bedroom estate homes with views of the ocean or the island’s first and only championship golf course.

DESIGN: The word temenos is Greek for sanctuary, and as such the property’s architecture takes a cue from the Greek islands, with a white stucco design, blue accents, marble flooring, voluminous spaces and polished concrete stairwells. Estate and villa homes will have private infinity pools, hot tubs and an outdoor dining pavilion. The 115 residences will include state-of-the-art appliances and a version of the resort’s signature bathroom suite, which contains an outdoor shower and an indoor sunken tub.

BUILDING AMENITIES: An 18-hole Greg Norman championship golf course, a 28,000-square-foot clubhouse, four tennis courts, a 12,000-square-foot Remède spa and fitness center, a kids’ club, three swimming pools (with a children’s pool), charter boat service to St. Maarten and St. Bart’s and access to all hotel amenities such as housekeeping and concierge services. The property will have four restaurants, including a locally run Moroccan, Spanish and Greek restaurant that will also provide cooking classes.
