HISTORY: The house is the
combination of two homes that were built in 1879 and 1905 and joined in 1920 for
then-owner Jeremiah Milbank. Its third and most recent owner, publishing
magnate Bob Guccione, purchased the estate in 1975 and spent eight years
bringing the home back to its 1920s grandeur. During that time, craftsmen were
flown in from Europe to restore the George III–era wood paneling in the library,
Carrara marble entry and staircase, and original 1920s swimming pool (one of the
