The Art of Shaving
As more and more men start to indulge in everything from facials to Swedish sport massages, the Art of Shaving is keeping things simple. Offering basics like a Traditional Shave ($25), the company also has more involved treatments such as the Royal Shave ($45): It begins with a hot towel and a facial massage with preshave oil, after which warm shaving cream prepares the customer’s skin to be shaved in two directions. Next comes an antiseptic alum block, followed by a rejuvenating aftershave mask removed with natural sea sponges presoaked in lemon essential oil. Finally, a cold towel infused with lavender oil is applied, and then rose water is massaged onto the face along with aftershave balm to replenish moisture.

The shops offer other more mainstream barbershop services too, such as haircuts and mustache trims. However, if you do not have the time to go to the barbershop routinely, the Art of Shaving also sells a line of shaving products, which includes everything from razors and brushes to facial scrubs and moisturizers.
