Ferrari’s limited production, coupled with high demand, often translates to customer waiting lists that can extend several years. But thanks to renowned Italian watchmaker Officine Panerai—producer of the robust and chic Luminors and Radiomirs—there is an ever-expanding line of fashionable Ferrari watches guaranteed to make the wait that much more bearable, or at least provide a constant reminder that good things come to those who bide their time. Made up of Granturismo, Scuderia, and Special Edition collections, the Ferrari watch prices range from $5,800 for a Solotempo up to $41,500 for a Perpetual Calendar—produced in a limited edition of 60 to honor Ferrari’s 60th anniversary. The GMT/Alarm (pictured) retails for $9,900, and features a substantial 45 mm steel case with two screwdown independent winding crowns—one at two o’clock for date and time, and one at four o’clock for the alarm function. Moreover, a screw-in steel back with a sapphire crystal window displays the Girard-Perregaux 59-based Panerai automatic movement. The dial, adorned with the prancing horse Ferrari logo at twelve o’clock and a GMT indicator at six o’clock, is also protected by a sapphire crystal. The GMT/Alarm is water resistant to 100 meters and can be safely submerged with either the standard black alligator or spare rubber strap. Like Ferrari automobiles, production is limited—only 300 will be made.
