The shop at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) offers groundbreaking watch concepts from several decades by avant-garde designers such as Philippe Starck.

A sampling of MoMA’s eclectic watches includes the City Hall Watch, created by Arne Jacobsen in 1961; this version is made by Pierre Junod and costs $395.
The Dual Time Watch by Danish firm Isbrand Design from 1996 sells for $195.
The Orbit Watch by Alexander Burhans debuted in 1997 and costs $200.
The design of the $595 Digital Wristwatch by Flemming Bo Hansen dates from 1989.
The Aluminum Watch was designed by Stefano Pirovano in 2000 for Alessi and retails for $110.
