Glovebox: Bull Shop
February 1, 2007
Most of us cannot resist products that commemorate or complement our favorite
car. Whether artwork, memorabilia, or clothing, if an item has some connection
to the classic in our garage—or the one we would like to put there—it adds a
satisfying level of interaction to the overall experience.
Certain models in
the automotive pantheon regularly land at the top of enthusiasts’ wish lists,
and the Lamborghini Miura is one of them. Few cars have engendered its
level of adulation, earned for both its stunning performance and its looks. Even
four decades after its introduction, the Marcello Gandini design remains
timeless, and Lamborghini’s recent Miura show car copied nearly exactly the
original car’s lines. The decision garnered great acclaim: We like the Miura
that much. (Click image to enlarge)
Fortunately for us, the Lamborghini Store offers a collection of
Miura-themed gifts to sate this passion. The informal Miura jacket sports an
appropriate level of Italian flair. Its outer layer—a combination of cotton and
polyester—protects a yellow polyester liner. It sells for $420. The Miura bags
were designed specifically to fit in the car’s limited luggage space. Available
in smaller and larger variants (at $815 and $885, respectively), they are
finished in stamped and smooth calfskin leather, and feature Moire silk lining.
A pair of racing gloves crafted from ultrasoft lamb leather tops off the
package. With solid bottoms and perforated uppers, the gloves sell for $170. All
can be purchased at Lamborghini dealerships or at the manufacturer’s online
store. (Click image to enlarge)
