Dust and condensation concern
just about every car collector. "My [insert the classic marque of your
preference] has been in the garage, gathering dust," is not a statement about
the car’s limited use as much as it is a simple fact. But sedentary automobiles
collect more than dust; they may also collect rust. While the fitted car cover
has been the customary form of protection, it fails to keep moisture at bay.
One solution is the Air Chamber: a rectangular car shelter made
of heavy-duty plastic. Originally designed to protect vintage cars from the
ravages of the damp U.K. climate, the sealed Air Chamber has an air circulation
system and electrostatic dust filter. Efficient fans circulate 50,000 liters of
fresh air—per hour—to carry off moisture through the vent system, preventing
rust and corrosion along with the associated mold and mildew.
The Air Chamber’s framework allows you to conveniently drive
into the enclosure. It is portable, and can be set up in 45 minutes. High
quality zippered closures provide easy access to your vehicle. Air Chambers are
available in seven sizes, from very small to extra large.
