JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON
A few years ago, Jeep noticed that die-hard off-roaders had a habit of taking
their Wranglers straight from the showroom to aftermarket shops for heavy-duty upgrades. Jeep responded with the Rubicon, a Wrangler that provided what
those customers were looking for, but at a lower price than the aftermarket offered and with a factory warranty. Now the Rubicon is joined by a stretched
version, the Unlimited Rubicon, that adds 2 inches of rear-seat legroom and 13 inches in the cargo area. Ten of the Unlimited’s extra 15 inches are gained
in the wheelbase, and combined with improved shock tuning, they translate into a significantly improved on-road ride. Joining the option list is the Sunrider
soft top, which can be opened like a sunroof over the front seats or put all the
way down. As with its short-wheelbase stablemate, the Unlimited can handle tough
trails with aplomb, and now there is more space for friends and gear. Prices for the Unlimited Rubicon start at just under $29,000.
