Infiniti M45 2007
January 1, 2007
Remember the last Infiniti M45? Really? Well, Infiniti would now like you to forget about that crazy, slab-sided hunk of Nissan. Last year, the company released an entirely new and notably attractive M car. This rear-drive, V-8–powered sedan is aimed at some industry heavyweights, including the BMW 550i, Lexus GS430, and Mercedes-Benz E550. Many shoppers in the market for a $50,000-plus rear-drive sedan think only in German. To capture a moment of these folks’ attention, Infiniti has made the M45 a showpiece for the newest electronic gadgetry. The M45 is available with a DVD entertainment system, a surround-sound audio system, adaptive headlights, an automatic four-wheel steering system, intelligent cruise control (which maintains a set distance to the car in front), a lane-departure warning system (which alerts the driver if he begins to drift out of his lane), and a flux capacitor (not really). A V-6–powered version, the M35, and an all-wheel-drive model, the M35x, also are available.
