Rider's Notebook: Formula for Fun

Arthur Coldwells

February 18, 2003

The MV almost feels as if it is simply sucked to the pavement by an otherworldly magnetic force. “Glued to the road” is a cliché we hear often, but it really does apply here. Coming into a corner at speed it is possible to evaluate the line you want to take—judge it to within inches—and place the bike there. This is point-and-shoot motorcycling without too much deliberate thought involved—more of an intuitive, rhythmic and effortless process.

Arrestingly beautiful, exquisitely designed and manufactured, exactingly detailed and astoundingly accomplished, the new F4 series would have made Count Domenico proud. A special Agostini tribute model is on the way, a fitting tribute to Giacomo Agostini, 15-time World Champion and MV’s most accomplished racer.
