Bentley Azure 2007
01/01/2007
After an absence of a few years, the Azure nameplate returns to Bentley with an all-new convertible. Virtually unchanged from the Arnage Drophead Coupé displayed at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Azure provides a more luxurious counterpoint to the all-out athleticism of its smaller sibling, the Continental GTC. Part of a Bentley’s appeal is its unique mix of supreme luxury and stealthy performance and the 450 hp produced by the Azure’s 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged motor is indeed impressive. It is the staggering 645 ft lbs of torque, however, that makes a drive in the Azure a thrilling experience. Though slightly slower than an Arnage T, the Azure will still achieve 60 mph in less than six seconds and reach a top speed of 168 mph. So while an Azure driver might prefer a relaxed cruise along the Grand Corniche, this convertible is also ready for action on the autobahn.PRICE: $329,990
