Roush Stage 3 Mustang 2007

January 1, 2007

For the last 15 years, Roush has been a major developer of high-performance Fords. Drawing on its experience in building both racing and road versions of the Mustang, Roush has produced the Stage 3 Mustang. The Roush Stage 3 package supercharges the standard Mustang V-8 to 415 hp, then adds huge 14-inch Stoptech brakes and a suspension that dramatically improves handling. Riding on 18-inch wheels and 275/40 tires, the Stage 3 offers nearly 1 g of cornering power and nearly neutral handling, which makes it a pretty good weekend track car. Roush has managed to balance the ride/handling compromise pretty well, with a suspension that has just about enough compliance for daily use. Of course, no tuner Mustang would be complete without a body kit, and the Roush package certainly is an attention getter with its front valence, rocker panels, and large rear spoiler. Though the package is aggressive, that front valence actually clears parking-lot curbs.
