Three decades of racing—from the 1960s through the 1980s—are captured through black-and-white and color photography from the archives of Sutton Motorsport Images. What makes this book special, apart from the exceptional design and production quality, is that these images have never before been published. Drivers like Stewart, Clark and Lauda; racecars like Ferrari, Lotus, Tyrrell; and courses like Monaco, Monza, and the Nürburgring are presented large-as-life, thanks to the nearly 18-inch width of each page; this book is the king of F/1 coffee table tomes.
The book is more than a photographic essay. The text by Mark Hughes (consulting F/1 editor of Autosport) is encyclopedic, with a solid grounding in technology as well as the art and science of driving. We highly recommend it.
